USPS Chiller Replacement
Project Details
Performed in multiple phases, this project included the removal and replacement of three 850-ton chillers. Pro Insulation’s scope of work included demo and replacement of insulation on chilled water supply and return piping to each chiller, as well as pumps, valves, sensors, and other instrumentation. Multiple types of insulation were also a factor in this project including fiberglass pipe coverings, closed cell elastomeric, and PVC jacketing.
Owens Corning
Project Details
Some members of the Pro Insulation management team have been doing insulation work in Owens Corning’s various facilities for as long as 30 years and we take great pride in maintaining this ongoing relationship. One of our most recent projects consisted of the fabrication and installation of custom insulation pads/blankets for an existing 6” steam line in their Sedalia, MO factory. These pads and blankets were measured and fabricated in-house by Pro Insulations very own highly skilled craftsmen.
MO Air National Guard
Project Details
Another highly specialized project performed by Pro Insulation in a high security and restricted access environment. This project required that all of the exposed ductwork be insulated with 1-½” foil backed duct wrap which was then to be covered with white PVC jacketing. Pro Insulation was also responsible for insulation of the complete mechanical and plumbing packages, with a majority of this work being done out of scissor lifts.
Hansen WTP – LOX Piping
Project Details
This was a unique insulation project for extremely low temp piping that required double layers of 2.5” cellular glass pipe insulation for a total thickness of 5”. Joints and seams between layers were sealed watertight and staggered between each layer. Joint sealant was then applied at all seams on the outer layer that also consisted of a factory applied aluminum butyl wrap. A vapor stop sealant was then applied before and after every contraction loop using a vapor stop. Lastly, the entire pipe insulation system was covered using a smooth aluminum jacketing secured by stainless steel banding.
Cerner – Towers 3 & 4
Project Details
Towers 3 and 4 consist of two self-contained office buildings. Tower 3 is a 12-story, 449,162 SF office and mechanical space and Tower 4 is a 9-story, 322,964 SF office building. The towers are connected to each other with a 2-story, 4,475 SF atrium and the Phase 4 Tower is connected to the previous project via a 1,014 SF pedestrian Skywalk. Pro Insulation was responsible for insulating both the mechanical and plumbing systems for this project.
